Near the former mouth of the Buttahatchee River. When the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway (canal) was built in the 1960s, this part of the rivers was bypassed.

I think it is probably rare to see this species at the edge of the water. Many mornings, I see them on the electric poles near my house.
