Northern harrier (Circus cyaneus) ?

Northern harrier (Circus cyaneus) ?
In a tree in front of my house

I have tentatively changed the species of this bird at Dörthe's suggestion. I'm still not sure about this. I continue to see them from time to time, so perhaps I can get some better photos.

This could be a Marsh Hawk. In my book the Merlin has larger brown spots on the chest.

Thanks, Keith. I have tentatively decided to say it is a northern harrier. I'm hoping to get some more photos of it. I still see it every few days.

Thanks for the tip, Dörthe. I am tentatively saying it is a northern harrier, which is the current name for what was once called the marsh hawk. I am hoping to get some more photos of it.
