Cattle egret (Bubulcus ibis)

Cattle egret (Bubulcus ibis)
I was sitting with my dogs by the pond, when this egret flew up to the dead pine tree and shook its feathers.

Yes, usually they are rather sleek, but this one fluffed up its feathers . Thanks for the visit, Christel .

Cute - and a little bit disheveled. Is it a juvenile?

Merci beaucoup pour ta visite, Danielle. Cette carte montre qu'ils nichent dans le sud du Québec. fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A9ron_garde-b%C5%93ufs#/media/Fichier:Bubulcus_ibis_map.svg

I don't know if it is a juvenile. It flew up to the dead pine tree and did a few calisthenics before settling in.
