I guess difficult enough, getting it into focus is one thing was the bird injured in anyway? I once had a blackbird in the hand but I had rescued it from the cat. It flew off soon as I loosened my grip.

I think I remember that the bird had hit a window and was stunned. Not long after that I put some film (Collidescape) on all the windows so birds know there is something solid there. www.collidescape.org
