The Sunday Challenge of 2 weeks ago was : Cracks with flowers or weeds growing in them.
The wall outside of our house grows all sorts of things including plants that one would pay money for, including this one (G. palmatum), Verbena bonariensis, Linaria. purpurea, small ferns, and once we even had an oak tree trying to put down roots in a crack in the wall. We had to stop that happening.

Pottery

While living in Norway I attended an 8 week evening pottery course. The pieces were all made using a simple slab-work technique, and were glazed by the teacher each week. I had a great time and experienced the joys of brown cheese with raspberry jam, brunost og bringebærsyltetøy, too.

The field has recently been sown with winter wheat. It grew surprisingly quickly as the weather was mild and wet. Now it is much colder, and we could see a flurry of snow today.
Have a nice weekend everyone, and stay safe.

It was around here that we found the pine cone fungus that is shown in the clickable PiP. It's a fairly gentle climb to the top, and the views are superb even on a dull day.

The clickable PiP shows one of the smallest fungi that I have ever seen. It's growing on a Scots pine cone.

Our challenge for today was to find some very small fungi that grow in fallen pine cones. There is a mixed woodland near where we live with numerous pines, redwoods and spruce as well as broad-leaved trees' so off we went. We only found 2 in the whole of the woodland, but we thoroughly enjoyed the 3 mile walk and the thorough search. I need a better lens and a better exposure for this photo.

Today's Sunday Challenge: Signs
About 5 years ago there was a big push in the village in order to curb speeding. The children at the local primary school in the village were asked to design road signs to encourage drivers to slow down as they approached the school. This one has always amused me, because the meaning could have been so different without the exclamation mark. It reads, "SLOW ! CHILDREN CROSSING".
The PiP is an alternative.

Today's Saturday Challenge is: Anything pointed.
This is the minute hand of a grandfather clock. The second hand is just visible on the left. The hour hand is partially broken and will be repaired once Covid is finally conquered.

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we spent 2 minutes silence on top of The Cliffe, in memory of all those who have lost their lives in wars.
