Today's Sunday Challenge is: Yellow
The common name comes from the leaf's supposed resemblance to a colt's foot. The leaves of coltsfoot appear after the flowers have set seed. The long stems bear scale-leaves that can be seen more clearly in the PiP. Coltsfoot has been used in herbal medicine and the leaves have been used in traditional Austrian medicine internally (as tea or syrup) or externally (directly applied) for treatment of disorders of the respiratory tract, skin, locomotor system, viral infections, flu, colds, fever, rheumatism and gout.

The goalposts surrounded by fences are at the back of the local village primary school. This photo was taken on a glorious frosty morning. We have had strong winds and rain over that last 3 days.

The Saturday Challenge: "Bright, bold colors fill the frame, abstract or real"
A selection of hats, wrist warmers and finger-less gloves that I wear each day we go walking. I keep them all in a waterproof hat, the colourful lining of which can just be seen on the top right The note shows the original photo.
I have also added this to the group 'Project 21' the brief for the first quarter of this year is: Abstract, Macro or Still Life.

Today's Sunday Challenge is: A cone, or cones, or something cone-shaped.
Over the last couple of weeks the road through our village has been undergoing a programme of pothole filling which was very much overdue. In one week our local garage replaced 6 suspension springs, one of them from our car. The work is finally finished and on Friday the road maintenance brigade finally removed all the cones and signs.
