A splash of red
Today's Saturday Self Challenge is: A fountain.

This is a calm area in The Quarry in Shrewsbury called The Dingle. It is maintained by the local council, and this pool area is at its best in Autumn. The gardens are very popular with visitors, but this year there has been a strict one-way movement through the area with parts of the garden fenced off.

SSC Ich hätte das Bild für diese Challenge oben beschnitten, damit die Fontäne nicht so mit der roten Blätter Pracht konkurrieren muss. Die Fontäne sollte das Bildbestimmende Motiv sein.

Beautifully composed in great depth and detail. I love the variety and colours in the surrounding foliage, especially the bright red leaves. The little fountain is forming beautiful patterns in the air and on the water and it stands out nicely against the darker background. The person in the red jacket is a great touch.

This looks like quite a relaxing park area! Such a beautiful setting for a fountain and I love fountains like this that are in bodies of water. Perfect for the challenge and a definite fave. And I think I like your alternate photo even more!
