Dear members and friends of ipernity,
1) World Photography Day.
Take your time strolling through the special day in the World Photography Day group and enjoy not only the images which go from sunrise to moonrise, but also enjoy reading the descriptions. Here the photographers let us know how they took their photos, why they took their particular photo and even why they thought they were going to take one type of photo but ended up with something completely different.
2) Positive financial news.
Something else worth celebrating! Our treasurer, Corinne, notes in the most recent ima board meeting, "for the first time our reserves exceed our debts, meaning we have reached the break even point during Q2-2024". Board meetings notes are publicly available and are kept in the documents section of the team's account.
We still need to put more effort into drawing in new members. Anyone interested in brainstorming ideas should contact the team through a Help Ticket.
3) Improvement to video preview image.
4) New option for displaying larger text.
You will find the new 'Text Size Options' added to the 'Display' settings drop-down.
The areas affected include:
- comments under photos, articles, discussions, and ipermail messages,
- the description for a photo, album or group, and the opening post of a discussion,
- the input or editing of a comment, ipermail or various descriptions.
5) Our homepage in autumn.
The ipernity homepage is our flagship for visitors from the web. With the start of autumn, we are now showing autumn images of club members. We invite you to enrich the attractiveness of our homepage with suitable new images. Please post them here: Ipernity Homepage - Image Proposals.
Currently, we are still showing the images from the 2023 autumn season. Please follow this link to watch the images and take part in the corresponding vote afterwards using the link in the description of this YouTube video. Your participation in the voting will help us decide on which ones should be kept and which ones should be replaced.
6) In memoria.
Your ima team.
As this group is linked to from the main menu of our website [Explore / Noteworthy], it is part of the public relations work for our club. Thanks to all contributors.
Please note: The images shown in [Explore / Noteworthy] are presented in a random order. You can find the chronological order in the group "Ambassador Images".
The 16 images with a red cross through them have been removed from the homepage. The bottom 13 images were removed because they were the least rated in the public voting. In addition, 3 images that had been on the homepage for a very long time were also removed.
You can view the updated collection there: Homepage Images Autumn
