No this is not possible. The IBAN Number of the account holder who did the transfer is not visible to us, as receiver of the transfer. We only see the name of the account holder and the communication he made.

We wish it was simple. And when this type thing happens, most of the time we can find the member through an email or a variation of the name or some other sleuthing. However, this time the funds came in with a name that is not in our database and an email we can't identify, but it also came with a mention of a renewal of membership with a date. That is how we know it isn't an anonymous donation. We have searched by the date and everything else we can think of. This is why we have reached out to the membership at large in the hopes that either the person themselves will see the message, or that one of you would happen to know the person and know their ipernity user name.

Perhaps the person was trying to renew a friend's membership. Again, with that in mind we hoped a member would recognize the name and help us solve the mystery.

This is why it is so important that if one is renewing membership by bank transfer that one includes your ipernity address (account id) with that transfer. One's account id can be found on your account page, and is also shown in the pop up box for a bank transfer.

We will end up booking this payment as profit and loss - or rather profit by default - but ima's persistent investigation demonstrates, if proof were needed, its (our common) selflessness!
