1) We thank Google for stopping giving away storage space for free since June 1, 2021. This finally removes a major competition distortion. Nevertheless, when comparing our membership contributions with Google's rates, you have to keep in mind that Google only offers storage space. Many of the functions that our website offers are not provided by Google.
2) As already mentioned on several occasions, ipernity only has a future if we succeed in attracting many new members to our photo club. The necessary advertising measures on facebook are just starting.
3) You can support the advertising campaign by actively helping the new club members to find their way around ipernity. Visit their accounts, comment on their posts, integrate them into our club life. To help you find these members, we will provide you with a list of new club members that will be updated regularly.
4) For our part, we send all new club members an iper-mail with detailed information on how to find their way around ipernity::

Wenn ich auf meiner Seite, die ich auf FB habe (nicht mein Profil!) einen Beitrag schreibe, werde ich immer gefragt, ob ich ihn bewerben möchte. Wenn ich dann auf JA klicke, werde ich weitergeleitet zu verschiedenen Auswahlmöglichkeiten.
Aber soweit ich das sehe ist der erste Schritt immer, den Beitrag auf der eigenen Seite zu veröffentlichen und der zweite Schritt, den Beitrag zu bewerben. Hab's aber selbst noch nie gemacht!

Aber ich stehe nach stundenlangen Versuchen und dem Konsultieren vieler Tutorials immer noch wie ein Ochs vor'm Berg. All meine Bemühungen endeten bisher in kryptischen Fehlermeldungen mit Fachbegriffen aus der Facebook-Welt, die ich nicht verstehe.

Für andere Länder müssten wir separat in den entsprechenden Landessprachen schalten). Als Altersgruppe haben wir 50+ gewählt (weil nach der Lebensmitte Hobbies wieder an Bedeutung gewinnen). Wir wollen uns auf Desktop-User fokussieren, weil ipernity im Desktop-Bereich stark ist (während es bei der User-Experience auf Smartphones leider schwächelt). Wir wollen die Sichtbarkeit der Anzeige aus Kostengründen auf engagierte Fotoamateure beschränken, denn unser Budget ist extrem knapp. Deshalb wollen wir uns an die Leute wenden, wo die größte Wahrscheinlichkeit ist, dass unsere Anzeige auf Interesse stößt.

Bergfex club has replied to Der Rheinländer clubDich würden wir gern noch mal im Hinblick auf die Replace-Funktion und die E-Mail-Angelegenheit ansprechen. Unsere IT-Service-Dienstleister schieben die Probleme untereinander hin und her, berechnen Arbeitsstunden, aber kommen nicht zu Potte.
I would have the same answer as Antje about promoting posts, without knowing about explicit and targeted advertising on FB, sorry. Whenever a lead is found, I am ready to help this relevant initiative as much as possible.

PS: since I am on FB I have voluntarily extended my FB "friends" group, now beyond 1000, so as to reach many members with my ipernity exports. It's another way to expand the audience but it's still a minority.
