What will happen with IP till then ......
Also, what is your 'Plan B' if the IMA and Team Ipernity don't reach an agreement?
We know that no buyers are waiting in the wings so what can we expect from you if the IMA bid fails other than logging on one day to find the site has disappeared?
Moderator club has replied to autofantasia clubWe are also still in touch with the people of archiveteam to help them to archive ipernity if the website were to shutdown.
Let's cross our finger it won't happen.
When this process is complete and there is agreement between Ipernity S.A. and IMA we will begin a crowdfunding campaign.

04/03/2017 news: Ipernity SA said to get in touch with us this weekend (4-5/03/2017) to give their point of view regarding our offer.
At this hour we are still waiting for their communication. As soon as it is known, we will consult each other then indicate you the terms and implications.
Ipernity SA has always been positive regarding our project and always wished to make our points of view coincide. That's all we can say right now.
Jaap van 't Veen club has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaStormlizard club has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaI remain confident and optimistic there will be a successful restructuring of the Ipernity platform. Because of this, I remain active commenting, moderating in groups requiring this activity and recently posted an article that took time and research, not to mention getting some of my photos I took over the last 10 years and putting them together to present in the article. I would not put in this time and effort if I thought the platform would shut down and everything would be lost.
It is my strong belief that the new Ipernity will be a vibrant and viable platform with a bright, long-term stable future with a loyal membership base ensuring a stronger and more viable platform.

06/03/2017: this weekend Ipernity SA announced a short delay in their communication to us, for internal logistics reasons. We're expecting it soon.
07/03/2017: IMA received its receipt for filing. This allows IMA to begin business -- open a bank account for CrowdFunding and ultimately running the Ipernity platform. It also means the official certificate will be issued in about 2-3 weeks.
''Official certificate'' ... 2-3 wks .. while it sits a desk someplace ?
Just asking ....

This negativity coming from you from the first day is really incredible.
Dont worry,it will be easier for us/them when we know you wish us luck.
Au revoir.
Jaap van 't Veen club has replied to Marko Novosel clubHaving said that it is going to be so important if and when the deal is finalized how you structure the new IMA site. In particular how the IMA will put an affordable layering system too allow the possibility that all or most members can contribute financially to the site.
Just my opinion and I know I am not on my one with this outlook.

Latest Update

09/03/2017: IMA and Ipernity S.A. are close to an agreement. I'm hopeful it will be attained sometime tomorrow. If so, the terms will be published here. Please know that the agreement if finalized is aimed at meeting the best interests of the Ipernity platform, IMA and the platform's members' interests.
In anticipation, IMA will be establishing a bank account in France and opening a Paypal account to facilitate revenue receipts and payment of operating expenses. IMA also anticipates the start of a CrowdFunding campaign early next week and once it is underway, daily updates will be given. Please know, it is critical people contribute as soon as possible without delay when CrowdFunding is underway since a decision will have to be made within about 2 weeks whether to continue to the platform into April. The combined March and April costs are approximately 10,000 € (Amazon in agreement with Ipernity S.A. allowed the platform to operate this month with expectation that the payments will be made in April).
In addition, please be aware that annual operating expenses for the Ipernity platform are approximately 66,000 €. This does not provide any funds for contingency reserves, future obligations, platform upgrades (for example, future conversion to https protocol as some have suggested), rate increases or other unanticipated expenses or shortfalls. Nevertheless, a stable club membership base near the reported membership figure is more than sufficient to maintain viability and offer a bright long-term future.
IMA thanks everyone for their patience, input, ideas and efforts to keep this site running and for your assistance to ensure a successful CrowdFunding campaign.
I am not personally suggesting anything when I posted the update on IMA/ IP. I was only giving the latest update to members who read the bloggs.
But this I will say I totally agree with you regarding "sounds like pay today and the site could still fail, hardly a positive way of raising funds. " And your second point " The stable club membership will drop the the when subs are more than doubled".
My battle cry has been all along that if the IMA do not tier the system to allow members to pay subscription according to their own personal financial situation they will , as you said drop member numbers so small to make the site unsustainable.
(1) Do our memberships officially expire at the end of this month?
(2) When IMA officially takes over, do I have to pay into crowdfunding in order to keep my membership benefits, or is there a grace period if I cannot contribute at the moment?
Treasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to ValfalI don't know yet the answer to your Q1 My suggestion is to email William or any of the IMA Team and ask them to clarify your question.

13/03/2017: The CrowdFunding campaign as officially begun. Even though the goal is listed at $25,000, we need approximately $30,000. If people honor their survey commitments, we should realize this.
We have approximately 2 weeks to achieve this goal. Even though it is a short time frame, it is achievable if everyone acts with urgency. I just made my own contribution and doubled what I had said I would offer in the survey so that the crowdfunding campaign begins with a good start.
The hyperlink for making donations is:

Please note, Indiegogo decides the method of payment.
These next two weeks will be the most critical and decisive. Starting tomorrow, IMA will provide daily updates as to the progress of the crowdfunding campaign.
Thank you for your support for this worthy cause to keep this unique and great site alive.
Nora Caracci club has replied to Treasa Ui Cionaodhaho molte perplessità:
questo link
www.generosity.com/community-fundraising/ipernity-members-association-a-non-profit-entity
parla di DONAZIONI e non di abbonamento o reclutamento.
Non è chiaro se veramente si tratta della adesione a una nuova società gestita da IMA.
Inoltre non c'è nessuna comunicazione ufficiale.
Treasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to Nora Caracci clubwww.generosity.com/community-fundraising/ipernity-members-association-a-non-profit-entity.
This is just a link to allow IMA to ask to crowdfund and help the IMA to pay for the expenses to continue if the IMA successfully gain control of IP/Sa
The lack of communication which is annoying to everyone is down to IP/SA who are not updating any information of negotiations between them and members of IP and the IMA.
The link you can use to make a donation.

My email address is what I chose to donate.
Regarding the option to use only by paypal maybe get on the the IMA to see if they can bring in this option.
TimC has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaWhether it's FB or email, donations can only be made by credit card, unfortunately.
Treasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to TimCOverall I agree with you more choices should have been given to allow people to pay with what system they are comfortable with such as your preference to use Paypal. My daughter will only deal with paypal whenever she can.
raingirl club has replied to TimCJust brainstorming here - since we have very little time, I'm not sure they will fix the paypal issue in time (or if they even can).
Treasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubIt wont IP have reneged on their promise to refund members who have overpaid. They will not be transferring these over payments to the IMA.
What will happen with club members who paid their clubmember fee and do not participate on crowdfunding? Will they be allowed here? Will they be refunded of their fees? I offered someone a 2 year membership few days before the closing anouncement...and since then he almost gave up photography and is not willing to participate.
Thanks for your answer...
autofantasia club has replied to Xata clubAt this time, I would recommend not renewing memberships or if you did so, to do it for no more than 1 month."
It has also been mooted that Ipernity SA will not have the funds to reimburse anyone who has 'unused' membership when the transfer or closure takes place despite previously saying they would do so.
This would suggest that there will be no money in the pot when the IMA transfer takes place and therefore they will need to raise as much as they can through crowdfunding and subscriptions for the 'new' platform.
And all of this to me at least suggests that we will need to accept that anything we may have paid to Ipernity SA for future access will be lost and we will need to start afresh. Not an ideal situation, but perhaps preferable to seeing the site close.
It would be helpful if someone from Team Ipernity or the IMA could confirm if I'm right in what I've said and if my conclusions are incorrect then explain exactly what will happen?
As you've rightly pointed out this is an issue that many are concerned about.
raingirl club has replied to autofantasia clubi also know that there are people and plans forming around helping people in need - so please stay around as those transpire.
to those who have the ability to pay the funds and are frustrated and annoyed (and maybe just confused) i suggest that they look at it as Ipernity closing and them starting up at a new site (but without all the hassle of moving their photos, learning a new system and loosing contacts!!).

Hello,
I do not have a premade answer for your question.
At this very moment, membership aren't taken in account, it is a separated action (done by IMA).
We can imagine that if everything goes as expected, IMA will benefit of the membership once ipernity has been takeover. The whole purpose is to support ipernity for a few more month to let IMA prepare their business plan and submit their offer to the shareholders.
For the people who won't or can't participate for any reasons, it has not been decided yet.

autofantasia club has replied to Xata clubThis is exactly why I've said repeatedly that they need to communicate more effectively and have a Frequently Asked Questions article/thread. That way people wouldn't keep raising questions that have been raised by others before them or have to rummage around looking for answers amongst the countless threads and comments.
Hopefully, someone from the IMA and/or Team Ipernity will respond to these queries. My own membership runs out in a few weeks time and I'm not at all keen on renewing for 12 months if that money and that subscription is not going to be received/honoured by the IMA when they take over! :(
Looking Good Folks ...
Please remember that this has nothing to do with monies already paid to Ipernity SA for subscriptions. This is to keep the site alive for a few more months until the takeover by the community can be finalised.
We have less than 2 weeks to reach our target or, according to what I've been told, the site will most certainly close. So if you want ipernity to still be here next month please support the crowdfunding campaign.
