Some of you had probably noticed, ipernity is the victim of many spammers who create fake accounts for profit. We estimate that about 300,000 fake accounts were created this past year, often from India, Pakistan, ...

The destruction of these accounts is an important analysis work everyday.

We have worked extensively to analyze the phenomenon and have updated - and hardened - the spam-fighting rules.
This strategy paid off, as we have reduced by 70% the number of creation of new problematic accounts everyday..

We also changed a thing in the blog:

It is no longer possible to create a new article when you have more than 10 drafts (except for CLUB members) → so if you are unable to post new article, consider dropping a few drafts.

The fight against spam is a battle of everyday, so please continue to use the report button when an account seems suspicious.

Certain d’entre-vous l’avaient sans doute remarqué, ipernity est victime de très nombreux spammeurs qui créent de faux comptes dans un but lucratif.
Nous estimons qu’environ 300.000 faux comptes ont été créé depuis une année, souvent en provenance d’Inde, du Pakistan,...

La destruction de ces comptes représente un travail d’analyse important au quotidien.

Nous avons longuement travaillé pour analyser le phénomène et avons mis à jour - et durci - les règles de lutte anti-spam.

Cette stratégie a été payante, puisque nous avons réduit de 70% le nombre de nouveaux comptes litigieux qui s’inscrivent chaque jour.

Nous avons aussi changé une petite chose dans le blog :

Il n’est plus possible de poster un article s’il y a plus de 10 brouillons (sauf si membre du CLUB) → donc si vous n’arrivez plus à poster de nouvel article, pensez à supprimer quelques brouillons.

La lutte contre le spam est un combat de tous les jours, merci de continuer à utiliser le bouton de signalement quand un compte vous semble suspect.
