Today I had enough with tiny "tablet computing", went to PC dealer nearby, and bought a proper laptop. And I managed to get it with my favorite Ubuntu Linux OS. Now I have nice and large display, furiously fast processor and SSD, and plenty of memory to work with.
This also mean I now finally can use much greater variety of image editing software: codecondo.com/top-photo-editors-for-linux
But also GIMP works much better, display is closer to what people have in average, and I'm not all the time have to worry for running out of memory.

I did use several Linux systems long ago on an experimental basis but at the time I was forced by my business customers to use software compatible to their systems.
enjoy ;-)
