Expecting a little flooding I looked out of the back bedroom window around high tide and saw this,between the two lampposts there is a road somewhere.
I took this one from the top of the hill,the sea is sweeping in from the left.
On to the channel and the promenade,a lot of water there.
Down the road sea met land,the parapet was overwhelmed
There will be more water farther along the road but I wasn't wading through this lot.
The hotel is sandbagged and boarded against the water and will be for the next couple of days while the big spring tides last.There will be other parts of the island completely cut off.
Just to make it more interesting we have a snow warning for tomorrow as well.

Yes, I saw what it is like where Jenny lives and in Wales on TV this afternoon. The Sky here was red a dawn, followed by Sun then drizzle. Gales expected tonight or tomorrow.
