Big storm coming

We are expecting a storm front to come hurtling towards us overnight,it looks like a biggie. This is the latest from the met office

A rapidly deepening area of low pressure will bring very strong winds to Northern Ireland, Scotland, north Wales and northern England during Tuesday. There is the likelihood of widespread gales, with gusts 65-75 mph. Gusts of 80-90 mph are possible, the greatest risk being towards the northwest where there will also be frequent wintry showers.
I thought today's weather was bad but this is the serious stuff.
I'm glad I got out today for the shopping

Yes that's a bit of a gale is right! Best take the bird feeder down till it's over if you can. That's the one thing that went last time. The shed is down all so that's a relief. Stay in and stay safe. Hope Ellen can also. Be careful out there.. We've heard about your weather from this end and it looks to be nasty over the next couple of days.

Not nice to hear, glad I have no reason to go out until Thursday or Friday. Just have to compile a few more PP shows like the two from today.

All I can say is that even though I'm in the west, I am in the South West and will get bad weather too, but nothing as bad as you will, well I hope not anyway. Yes it's a good thing that you got your shopping in today, you may not be able to get out til after Christmas.

Heavy rain and high winds here with some localised flooding of roads. It's keeping me awake and keeping me in mostly. Hope it's not too bad out there for others, and that parts of the country manage to get the lights back on soon.
