Just a few thoughts from an aging brain

You know how people say "It's not the gift it's the thought that counts"? Well I have it cracked on somebody's birthday I will just think about a nice gift for them,something they would really like.That should do it and no money spent job sorted.

You know you're not ugly when somebody tells you you are,because if you were they wouldn't tell you to your face.

Some things mother's say don't make sense, mine used to say to me "You'll be laughing on the other side of your face in a minute"
and another classic " Shut up and tell me what happened"

Why does my mother ring me and say "Is that you" even if it wasn't me the answer would always be yes.
