"The best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft a-gley"
The first line of the poem To a mouse by Robert Burns paraphrazed as
"The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry"
This is what happened to me yesterday I decided not to water the new plants until I had strimmed this morning but late yesterday afternoon the weather turnrd ugly, the plants got watered fine but the rain never stopped and the wind picked up. By 11pm we had a full blown storm, the rain stopped overnight but the winds are just dying down now.
Never mind at least I have name one of the grasses thanks to a tab I found in the planter.
The straggly one is Juncus spiralis also called the Curly Whirly.
So things are on hold now until things dry up
