Bridge repairs again

Repairs to the bridge,our only link to town,is starting in May until December,This is major structural work and wll cause upheaval of course.
Vehicles make 24.000 crossings a day on the bridge so two rush hours a day with almost all of the working folk here working in town and beyond town will be a nightmare.
This is much needed work and with no money or suitable site for a second bridge it's just a matter of grin and bear it.
This is only the island half of the bridge it starts all over again next year for the mainland half.
I've half a mind to get a boat again

Aha but just think in the summer, you could walk across the bridge to go shopping, instead of waiting for a bus. At least you don't have to cross that bridge twice a day like a lot of them do, and you can't hear the honking of horns etc from your house, so just be thankful you're an old man and retired!!!!! LOL

Get a small boat and ferry people over for a small fee. People would be glad to psy for the privilege
