Today I awoke to a clear blue sky.a promising start to the day.
After sorting the cats and having breakfst I checked on the front garden. Still scruffy but short and scruffy so it was time to try the mower.
The first job was to rake yesterday strimmer grass cuttings and then weed the border.
this all took an hour such was the state of things.
Next after a coffee I mowed the larger section,a 5 minute break then back to the smaller section. another hour gone and with a tiring back I took a long break.
One last push raking the grass and strimming the edges and the job was done only the tools to clean,a long hard morning but very satisfying.
Back inside I took my work gear off including the back brace I need for any manual work nowadays. It has one unpleasant side effect it makes me sweat buckets so it was a rinse through for the back brace and a shower for me.
By this time the sun had moved round to the back garden so I had a lunch of Salami, cheese and pickle buns with a glass of cold Cranberry juice.very tasty and as I had realeased my knees on an unsuspecting world I followed up with a t shirt and silly hat I spent a couple of hours reading and checking on my next big job and it is a biggie.
This is a snap of the 25 square foot of grass next on the hit list, this is 10inches tall in places,a real challenge but one I am looking forward toback and weather willing
