Today is day 4 of our mini heatwave, temps up to 80f by midday again but I feel the change coming, the air is not as fresh but more muggy and we have rain forecast for the early hours.Oh well it was good while it lasted if it does go.
I needed some cow juice this morning and it being a lovely morning I detoured to the grass lands and beach on the way. Not a big trip only a couple of miles or so but I was in the sort of terrain I love, nothing messed about by man here except for the path running alongside, this is handy for wheelchair and baby buggy users but I only step on to it to take photos then its me away to the grass again.
The vegetation has grown rapidly since my last visit with plenty of little wild flowers around. There is the remains of a gorse fire,Maybe mother nature did it or some youngsters who knows? New growth will soon replace the charred remains and by the end of summer there will be no sign of it.
As I was coming to the end of the grass meadow I noticed a couple of fishermen beach casting, hoping for a couple of sea bass for lunch no doubt.
I collected the cow juice returned home and sat in the garden for a while, very nice. I hope this spell last a little longer at least.
A lovely way to spend a morning
