This is day 4 of sunny weather. Thursday and Friday were very cold but on Saturday I was able to shed my winter coat at last.
My shoppng trip went well, the highlight being the mobile butchers £10 special. I got 3 sirloin steaks, the full chicken breasts,3 large pork chops and 12 large pork sausages.Pretty good for local fresh produce I think.
today my thoughts turned to the jungle that is my garden. With a very wet winter I haven't ben able to get near it. I started on the front. If I had thrown the mower in I would have needed a search party to find it so he strimmer was the tool of choice. After 3 hours and 4 rest I managed to get the grass low enough for the mower to attack it. This will be in a couple of days.tomorrow I wil rake the dead grassup and then leave things for a day.The grass should have stood up nicely by then.
The back garden is not only much larger but much moe overgrown so a few days work there, weather permitting of course. After that I will turn my attention to filling the planters and getting so plants
another false dawn?

Over here the grass has not grown since it was last cut in october, however it needs clearing before my mower jockey can cut it when the time comes as it is littered with dead twigs from mostly the Larch trees and hundreds of cones thrown down by the Squirrels assisted by several gales. The gutters also need clearing of dead leaves and pine needles.
A good buy by the sounds of it, wish we had a butcher like that locally.
Hope the weather stays dry so you can finish cutting the grass.
