Well I made it to the traditional time alloted to man on this planet but will try to hang on for a while yet, besides which I am only 30 when I am sat down, it's the other stuff shows I'm not.
My birthday celebrations started early, last night my ganddaughter Gemma came to wish me an early Happy birthday as she was flying off with some friends for a hen partry in Benidorm in the early hours. So nice of her to think of me amongst the flurry of paking etc.
I had another early greeting Jenny sent me a happy birthday text shortly after midnight.
When I arose this morning the day was dry but a little cloudy. After sorting the cats I grabbed a coffee and opened my first gift. Jenny has sent me a new briar,a wonderful thought as my present one id past it's prime and the stem is now loose. She truly is a wonderful friend.
I had a quiet time until around 10 when Stephen arrived. He is baby sitting Mia whilr Gemma is away because Arron is workin all week end.
He bought me an expensive bottle of Brandy, the neatest surprise was a Great Grandad card from Mia, extremely cute and she has surprisingly good hand writing for a one year old.( I supect she got somebody to write it for her)
Mother rang to wish me happy birthday while they were here which was nice on two counts.
All was quiet then until mid afternoon when Ellen arrived. When she had asked me what I wanted a few days ago I suggested a pair of hiking trousers or a sports shirt. She bought me 2 pairs of trousers and 2 sports shirts so I did very well there.
Carl is working a double shift so I haven't seen him yet

I put a song in your guestbook to keep the rain away for the day at least.
Congrats.
