After a very cold grey morning the day improved with a little sun around lunch time. This was the signal for an attack on the back garden. I decided to divide the larger section minus the spot where the planters are in my minds eye and start. I did it in 4 stages with rest breaks inbetween. With that finished I had a coffee and a bacon buttie. With my back still behaving I decided to have a go at the area where the planters are. This involved shifting 7 planters two of the very heavy,3 large containers and 5 plant pots before I could start. I strimmed it in 2 sessions, had a break then moved everything back. The old bones were creaking by now after almost 4 hours work. I sat on the step with a coffee and cleaned and stowed the strimmer ready for more work tomorrow if these old bones are up to it.The garden still looks scruffy but at least now it's short and scruffy and ready for the mower in a few days if the rain holds off..A dry day tomorrow should see the last section finished I hope.
Greetings from rain island

My garden is always Naturally Scruffy, the birds love it and I like seeing birds.
Sun didn't break through here until 4pm. Hardly worth bothering then. Hope we all have a fine day today.
