I put the new Tesco to the test this morning. I wanted bacon and eggs so Tesco being nearer than the local shop Mac's I wandered in there for a look see at the prices. This is the result

I watched my free show as normal at breakfast. We don't have any exotic animals or birds here but some of the song birds like the bluetits,chaffinch and the stunning Goldfinch are very colourful. At the moment my morning cabaret is performed mostly by Starlings and sparrows,cheeky noisy fellas all.As the weather warms up I will have the finches back together with blackbirds and thrushes. Magpies,crows and jackdaws make the occasion raid and scare the smaller birds. The jackdaws have stunning blue eyes.
The cost of this entertainment is a less than 20 pence a day in bird seed,nuts and fat balls. I clean the baths out daily and once a week they get a good scrubbing. All this means that I can sit at my window and watch the show. I only have a scruffy 30'X20' patch but it is full of interest. Later in the year I will see butterflies flitting around and hear bees buzzing away and the smell of mint and rosemary will fill the air,not bad for less than 20p a day.

This is the tiny Goldfinch I think they are very handsome fellas.
