I awoke to a still day with the sun peeking through my bedroom window so I had things to do.After feeding the cats I opened my door into the garden for the first rtime since Saturday evening when I brought the bird feeder in. The winds would have had it taking off like a helicopter. I filled the feeders up and had a stroll round to survey the damage. Nothing amiss apart from a few plant pots overturned.
I had a coffee then climbed into my winter walking gear and headed out. It was bitterly cold but refreshing. My neighbours John and Allan emerged as I was leaving John with a big grin on his face at the sight of the sun. I strolled down to the channel and wandered along the promenade for a mile or so before returned home for a very welcome breakfast.
The day got better as the morning moved on and sun the sun hit my living room window. For the first time in a while I had the window and door open. The sun really heats this room even at this time of year. The cat found a couple of garden chairs in John's a lay there basking in the sun.
Better news on Jenny she managed to wash herself unaided yesterday which gave her a littte dignity back
