Who Discovered America is a question long asked, Well it was never any of the Europeans named. By the time the Americas were discovered by them there was already thriving populations there thank you very much. The same thing goes for Africa, Australia,New Zealand etc. All places given names by arrogant Europeans and claimed in the name of their Monarch.


It will take somebody very clever to convince me that a country that has people already living there can be discovered.How can you discover somewhere that has already been found?.Antarctica was discovered because nobody knew it was there,not counting birds of course.


The arrogance of these explorers, or should that be exploiters? went so far as to brand civilisations much older than their own as savages because they had different Gods and customs and had the bare faced cheek to jabber away in some incomprehensible tongue. The easiest way to deal with this of course was to enslave the people or drive them off the good land. Making the native populations second class citizens in their own land was the norm,not a proud passage in our history.

As mankind goes forth in future times to explore the universe which no doubt we will imagine the residents of some far flung planet watching us approach and imagine to them we seem as primitive as the native populations of the far flung corners of our planet were to us. I hope they will be friendlier than we were.
