Folks who know me will tell you I hate shopping ,that is if you cared to ask them. I hate the overpriced shiny supermarkets, the little bargain shops I do get along with.
My normal Sunday morning would be a stroll over town,I would pick up some pipe fodder then wander up to B&M they are like an Aladdin's cave of relishes, sauces, pickles and jams etc from small little known suppliers as well as from well known names from the past I thought were no longer around. After I have trawled their shelves for bargains it is off to the cheap freezer shop where there is always a surprise or two. They sell what they call short date stuff which means it is approaching it's sell by date and the big companies want them off their hands. This means I can buy top brand stuff at low prices. It is no good going there wanting to buy something in particular because they may not have it,it is strictly a when it's gone it's gone shop and great fun to hunt around for bargains.
Anyway that Sunday treat was off today I awoke to high winds and driving rain again and apart from cleaning the bird feeders out in a squall and refilling them I have been cabined up all day. My front door hasn't even been unlocked. I busied myself doing nothing much and watched a little sport on the goggle box and finished reading a book on Greek mythology. Apart from that I have been keeping this chair company and will probably do so for the rest of the night.
