Another lovely sunny day here so I decided to start work on the fruit bushes.
These are the tools I used.
This big bush was cut down to size with the very sharp hedge clippers. When I got through most of the foliage it turned out this was three bushed not the two I expected.
That brought lunch time up after which I rested in the lounger for a while before starting on the root system with the bushman's knife as you can see it is more saw than knife except the blade folds away.
I had everything cut down to ground level or close to by 1:30 or so. After a rest the tools were cleaned and stowed and my work was over for the day. I needed the rest my body was starting to creak with all the bending. I'll see what tomorrow brings in the way of weather and maybe start the root killing treatment.
I had a no cooking day today Ellen sprung for a chippy for dinner and it hit the spot after the work

Yes too much bending at our age can be a problem, you notice it when working, I notice it if I want to photograph something low down, I don't feel like crawling among the wet grass so overcome it with my Tele - Macro lens.
