Mandi had just gone to bed to call Dogan when she called me up to say that Zilli - their little dog - was with him and she wanted me to see her. So I trudged upstairs - have I told you that me and stairs don't really go together too well before........ LOL. Well I went upstairs and spoke to Dogan and called to Zilli, who wagged her tail vigorously when I spotted the tell-tale signs of gorgeous colours in the windows of the houses across the valley.

''Quick'' I said to Mandi - ''Go downstairs and get my camera please''. She shot off dutifully - as a daughter should - and brought up my camera. I managed to take a few pictures from the landing window - but my hands were shaking for a while. It was a bit late in the sunset's progress, but the colours were still lovely...........

Please bear in mind my windows need cleaning too - but I can't reach them because they are about 30 feet up, even the windows in the landing are too high for me to reach - not a good idea to stand on a set of steps on a landing when you're as wobbly as me. Maybe when my son-in-law manages to visit me eh........... LOL
