I love looking through the bathroom window every morning to see the view from there. Pippin joins me while I just lean on the window sill and look out. He loves sitting there because he can see the birds and other cats from his vantage point. I know when he sees the little birds hopping from branch to branch, cos his tail flicks from side to side and he does that little noise with his mouth............ so sweet. When he spots an invader of the feline variety - then his tail still flicks but with a passion and a low growl can be heard. He's not a happy bunny then.
So this was the view I had this morning............
As you can see - the lilac trees are in full bloom. The bluebells are still out in full and it's such a lovely sight. I really must try and get some more gravel - this lot was laid about 20 years ago and it really needs updating. It's very expensive, but it does last a good long time..
The dark purple lilac doesn't really have much of a scent really, but it is a lovely flower........
The white, on the other hand, really has a strong scent. It's lovely being outside and smelling this perfume all the time.......
The bluebells are still out in force and they do make the driveway look so pretty....
Finally the yellow laburnham is just starting to bloom. So soon I'll have a front garden full of yellow 'rain ' which is great. The tree is going to have to be clipped back later on in the year, because it's growing so much now. That's a job for Fred the Shed methinks.... LOL
I've had a nice day of not really doing anything exactly. Taking time to relax and get over the last week. Whatever happened to the person who held down a full time job, looked after a house, the garden and decorations, went dancing twice a week and had foreign students staying I wonder. Just going shopping exhausts me nowadays.
