I was looking out my bedroom window this morning and I saw a small flash of pale colouring and so I took a few pictures so I could see what it was. Imagine my surprise when I enlarged the pictures - Spring has started to tease us - they were the first primroses of 2020!!! I've never seen primroses in my garden while we were still in January of any year.

This is a sort of close up of what I saw in the garden this morning. As you can see the leaves of the mombretia are already standing tall - even though the flowers don't emerge until at least June!!

So I enlarged it and could make out two small primroses in the middle of the lawn. I didn't exactly jump up and down - because it was raining at the time - but the weather has changed AGAIN and it's pale blue sky with a smattering of white fluffy clouds. We have been so lucky compared to other places in the UK, with the weather, because we have had a few nice days, as well as the horrible wet and windy ones - but for some - like our friend Mickey and BeeOrchid, they've had nothing but rain and wind for days now!!! Now being housebound - it doesn't make a lot of problems if it rains or it's windy, but if you are mobile like Mickey and BeeOrchid, then it would be so awful, giving the feeling of "cabined in".

Looking around - I noticed a flower belonging to the rampant "Elephant's Ears".....

Please bear in mind I was sitting down with my back to the window and this flower was about 20 feet from the window, so I'm not too disappointed with the outcome. Hopefully when it gets drier, I might just make it out into the garden and take better pictures of them.

I hope you all have a great weekend coming. I will write another blog about my doctor's visit!!!! I am just so surprised I actually got out without high blood pressure!!!! That's another story!!
