I just wanted to thank you all who wished me a happy birthday. I had a lovely day, both of my neighbours popped in with cards and pressies, my daughter rang from Turkey and both she and her hubby wished me happy birthday. Then my son and his kids sang a lovely birthday song on Skype. He couldn't come up as his wife has just had an operation and she's in bed convalescing, so he can't leave her alone for another week.
The day was gorgeous - sunny and just a slight breeze, however yesterday it started to blow a bit and a bit of rain came - BUT TODAY - OMG Storm Brendan has arrived. You would honestly think that someone out there had a huge hosepipe and was aiming it directly at my house!!! I've never seen nor heard rain like it!!!! The windows got clean anyway - which was a bonus! The trees were vying with each other for space on the ground to bend to. You'd have thought they were bending to music, at least they did bend and stood upright again!!!
It's still cold but it could be colder in January - so I suppose we can be thankful for that. Thank you again folks for your lovely birthday wishes - it made an old woman very happy!!!!

Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Janet Brien clubToday is my daughter's birthday and as luck would have it, it's a gorgeous day here - blue sky, bright sun, it's still cold, but what a difference.
Happy birthday, Jenny !
