At 5am today Mandi was woken up by the sound of mewing. Her cat Pasha, was giving birth to her first litter. She wasn't making any noise - it was her second kitten who was mewing. Unfortunately her first kitten was stillborn and in the corner. Now Mandi had prepared 4 separate places for Pasha to give birth in and did she use any of them? No!!!!!

She chose Mandi's wardrobe and prompty gave birth on Mandi's t-shirts and tops!!!! So now those are all in the bin. I told her to give them a good wash and they would be fine, but the look on her face told me that that wasn't a good idea - she said she'd always remember the state of them!!! Fair enough I suppose.

Anyway both Mandi and Dogan sat up to take care of Pasha as she gave birth to 2 more kittens. She took some quick pictures of them and then left Pasha to sort herself out and get bonding with her 3 kittens. Dogan meanwhile took the dead kitten and buried it in the garden.

This was the first picture she sent and you can just make out the three kitties. Considering Pasha is only 14 months old, she's an amazing mum already. They're lovely and clean already and feeding well....

These pictures have been taken where she gave birth and since then Mandi has put her and her kittens in the box that Dogan brought home with him last night (did he know or something?) plus a lovely sheepskin rug for her. Mandi put a large cushion underneath the rug so the new family will be nice and warm and having somewhere soft to lie on.

Now you know that I'm all excited to be going there soon, because I'll have these little darlings to play with.
