Yesterday I actually opened the lounge window and kept it open for a couple of hours!!! Then I walked out and round to the front garden and sat in the sun for a while. It was lovely and warm, although it was bitter if you went out into the wind. I noticed large clumps of primroses in the grass, which has to be cut very soon - it's really long and thick!!!
While I was sitting there I looked up into the beautiful blue sky and saw two tendrils from two planes crossing the vast expanse....
The one coming from the left was on its way across the Atlantic - probably Nova Scotia, although it could turn left and go down towards New York I suppose. Whereas the other one coming up from the south, was probably on its way to one of our British airports up in the north!! I thought to myself - it'll be me in a plane up there in a few weeks!!! - 7 to be exact - wow.
Whilst I was sitting on the bench, I noticed a lovely group of grape hyacinths just under my window - there only used to be a few - four at most - now there were almost a dozen!!!
I decided that it would be a good idea to sit underneath the cherry tree, on my rollator, before it got too cold and the sun was just shy of being in direct line to my eyes....
Can you believe it - so beautiful and more are opening each day. I then walked to the stone wall in the driveway, which is holding the lilac bushes. When I was hand weeding the gravel drive a few years ago - I came across many bluebell bulbs and I used to throw them up underneath the bushes in the undergrowth - now I am reaping the sense in doing that - I've got lots of bluebells - not only on the drive, but also inbetween the trees/bushes which gives it the impression of a small wood!!! So pretty...
I do so love this time of year - I know I've probably said this before - but it just makes me so happy to see the garden wake up.
I'm so pleased that I took those photos yesterday, because today we had really heavy, thick sea mist, which totally covered the sky so seeing the blossom against the blue sky would have been a no-no day.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm finishing off turning up some curtains for a friend, then am hoping to catch up on recorded programmes and hopefully see the qualifying race of the Bahrain F1 on Saturday and the actual race on Sunday.
Another wonderful Spring day.....

What you could do though - is to pot up some small plants and then put the pots in strategic places in the garden. I don't think potting up small plants will be too strenuous for you - if you sit down and do it at the table. Just a thought. I'm so glad to hear that you are behaving yourself and taking it easy. Hugs
Gracie has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubYou're lucky having so many perennials. Perennials are like a legacy. They will bloom even after we're gone. Then people will look and say. "Ooh those lovely flowers Jenny or Gracie or whomever put there! Aren't they pretty?"
We were forecast fog on Friday however we had a glorious day. The fog has found us Saturday though hopefully it won't last too long.
