Well Fred and his wife have been today and after two hours stated that they had done the flower bed. They only manage two hours each visit so they can spread themselves with other people who want their help.

So when I'd seen this, I decided to see if I could take any photos of any lurking flowers that have survived the lousy summer and I caught this creepy crawly on the bench................

Grasshopper

This is a rather good specimen of a grasshopper.................

making nectar for the hive


This tiny bee was trying to gather some nectar to take back to the hive. The Japanese anemone has really flourished this year - obviously it likes being drenched!!!!!!!!!!
