Some of you have asked me to take a picture of this weird flower only a bigger one so you can see if you can identify it - well here it is .............

These are the leaves of the flower - the plant itself is about 2ft high and very spindly. When I came across the others in the driveway - I seem to remember a yellowy plant there - so maybe it has yellow flowers??

Anyway I went to look at the sweetpea in the hedge, but Peter had cut them back when he did the trimming - shame really - but never mind - the hedge had to be cut back. If I'd thought of it, I could have pulled the plants out of the hedge and laid them down on the grass, then let Peter cut the hedge, and then I could have put the sweetpeas back in amongst the hedge - their roots were on the ground and were just using the hedge as support.

The branches on the apple tree just outside my lounge window are starting to groan under the weight of the apples...........

As you can see - there are loads of apples and so far [touching wood here] the birds haven't seen fit to attack them - maybe they are waiting for them to turn a lovelier shade of red and green...........

Pippin and Boo came out to see what I was getting up to and they seem to be quite happy in each other's company - which is great - Boo insists on smelling Pippin and then might just give him a quick wash, he likes that - but if he goes near her, she can get uppity!!!! Typical female cat!!!

The mombretia is starting to show its lovely bright colour......

I think it'll only be a couple of weeks before there's a lovely display of these pretty flowers and the garden will be full of orange......

The honeysuckle has started to grow in the driveway too now - I remember planting a small sprig about 3 years ago in a pot but hadn't realised that it had spread all over the other pots near the log store. It's got lots of flowers and they were starting to smell because it was soon to be evening....... lovely......

The Japanese anemone is begining to flower too and I found lots of these little buds erupting all over the place - lovely.

I have also got a lovely big amount of mallow - it's a lovely purple colour, whereas it's usually a pink -

As you can see there are lots of these pretty flowers......

Apparently it's going to rain tomorrow and we are to expect thunder and lightning - okay I'll stay indoors - maybe get around to some cleaning upstairs - there again I might just do some baking - there again I might not LOL
