The sun came out again today - first time since ...... well the last time!!!! About 2 weeks ago and it was gorgeously hot. The morning was cloudy, no change there then...... but then the clouds disappeared and blue sky appeared. Unfortunately I had to stay in because I was having a grocery delivery, still that didn't stop me from enjoying the sunny day.

Whilst I was out I saw that the lilac trees are starting to flower again!!!! What's that all about?

The Californian poppies are still flowering all over the place and they are a wonderfully colourful sight........

I really must start weeding the drive, but it was still a tad damp from the amount of rain we've had, so hopefully if it's dry tomorrow too, I might just get out there and have a go.

Nearly everywhere I look, I see this purple toadflax - I do love this flower, it stands up straight and tall, and explodes with gorgeous purple flowers. One of my favourite weeds.......

The mombretia is once again starting to flower - I thought they usually come out in August and September, but it's starting in July. Hopefully there'll be a wonderful explosion of orange soon - that seems to be a current theme in my garden at the moment - orange and purple - not my favourite of colours normally..... but here in the garden - yes......

Now the Japanese anemone is budding and the gorgeous little pink flowers with the yellow stamens are turning their heads towards the sun.............

I noticed this climber growing steadily up the wall and I have no idea what these flowers are - but the flowers look interesting. They are a pale green so you have to look carefully to see them..............

Spotted this new flower in the garden - have no idea what it is - maybe a member off the buttercup, but it has long stamens and is a tall plant.... It looks as if there are more about to come up which will be nice.........

My apple tree is absolutely groaning with fruit - this tree was a result of me planting an apple core about 14 years ago and now it's a lovely tall tree with loads of fruit. I see that some lovely bird has decided to try and have a go at the fruit ... that's okay because there's way too many for me...........

This is another remnant of a flower I don't remember seeing - and I don't know what it is - so I'll keep my eyes peeled to see if I can see anything there that looks anything like it could be it.............

This delightful little snail enjoyed itself climbing up the anemone flower, it's a cute colour............

Eventually I came back indoors and I looked up to my roof to where the seagull chicks had flown from and this is what I saw..............

Thanks a bunch.... now I'll have to try and see if I can get someone to clear the gutter out - bearing in mind it's between 30 to 40feet high!!!! So it looks as if half the nest is out there on my roof..... great - that's not fair seeing as how I've allowed them the use of my chimney pots for their nesting place.....
