It’s been a week now that I’ve been off my meds. I think it’s such a funny expression, and I use it simply because it makes me chuckle. I appreciate for some people this is a problem, though in my case it’s less serious. My peripheral neuropathy has resurfaced though with only minor symptoms thus far in the form of mild pins and needles, and some localised pain in my leg. So far, none of the awful burning sensation in one leg that I was experiencing on a daily basis. The meds seem merely to disguise the symptoms, rather than cure the problem. If it gets bad again, I’ll just see if I can have some pain medication from the GP if paracetamol won’t do it. I’m still taking the vitamins (D, and B complex) and evening primrose oil capsules, and when I do get ‘bothered’ I massage the affected leg which really seems to help. Now, if I could persuade some handsome pirate to do that for me, I’ll be sorted LMAO
The weather here has been awful with barely a ray of sunshine to be seen, just copious amounts of rain, drizzle, or heavy grey skies on a good day. It’s supposed to clear up later today (Tuesday) and be nice tomorrow, though frankly I’ll believe it if I see it. It’s cold too, and each day we’ve had the heating on to take the edge off the house in the morning, and about an hour before bed too so the bedrooms are cosy. If I had some spare money, I’d sail away to warmer waters in a heartbeat.
On that note, sort of, I have an ‘interview’ on Thursday for a job in one of the big supermarkets. It’s not really what I want to do, however jobs here are few and far between and if it gets me out of the house, and gets some money in, then it’s all for the good. From what I can gather it’s a 90 minute, on the job, session rather than a formal interview. I like talking to random people, so maybe its right up my alley as they say. My son gets quite embarrassed if he’s out with me and I pass the time of day with the till operator, or even say hello to someone. I like to be sociable…
Not much else going. Climbing the walls, getting cabin fever, feeling restless. Typical signs of being holed up for too long due to inclement weather. In a previous house we had a real working fireplace; I’d love to sit in front of that now, just watching the flames dance, and feel warm and snug, and thumb my nose at the bad weather. A radiator just doesn’t have the same effect somehow. The last house at least had a gas fire, with fake coals. Nothing like that here at all, just radiators; so romantic, sitting in front of a radiator lol.
Within a few hundred yards of us, I note they’re setting up for an ‘event’ that’s scheduled to be here for 2 weeks. Deep joy. I’m sure we’ll be inundated with noise, both during and after the event, and cars parked everywhere, and general mayhem that seems to follow these things. I’m sure the local council does these simply to rake in some money as it’s surely not for the benefit of people who live near by and have to tolerate it.
Other than that ‘sour’ note, I’m good lol, and starting to feel more like my ‘old’ self. Enjoy what’s left of the week, and hopefully we’ll all have some sunshine soon.

Glad to hear your "Off your meds" lol! I never would have guessed! No, just glad that so far, so good. I hate being on anything as I believe its ultimately an issue. They usually fix one problem and cause another.. I am on only what I absolutely have to be on. My dr doesn't even try unless he says its really necessary.
Good luck on the job interview. Your son would hate having me around also as I rarely go anywhere I don't chat with someone..
Hope the sun comes out for Friday at least! :-)
I'm like you - I love chatting to anyone. I should think your son would be shaking his head if he was to be around me when I go out - if anyone is within talking distance, I'll have a chat!!!!!
Yes good luck with your interview - if you just have to be chatty and friendly - I should think you've already got the job!!!
The weather has been quite good here really - I swear I live in my own eco-climate. It's only rained the last couple of days - but there was sunshine interspersed with clouds!
And I hope you have some decent weather soon.
It was mostly dry & sunny here (with a couple of heavy but thankfully short showers) It was however, very windy.
I hope the job session goes well.
I fhink the term handsome pirate is a misnomer, all the ones seen on film are really ugly
Gracie has replied to Mickey fezMickey fez has replied to GracieGracie has replied to Mickey fezJenny - My sister is like that, and of course a lot of people need their medication. I don't like the ones I was on, so I'll just have to see how it goes. It's not a serious problem, at this time anyway.
Sarah - Thanks. A little nervous though not being a 'formal' interview is maybe a good thing.
Mickey - Well, he'd have to be handsome though as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;)
