“On the evening of September 27, three separate lunar events converge. The total eclipse coincides with the full moon nearest the fall equinox, known as the harvest moon. What's more, the moon is at its closest approach to Earth for the year, making it also a supermoon or perigee moon. That’s why it's being coined by some as a Super Harvest Blood Moon” – Taken from: news.nationalgeographic.com

For those of you that missed the memo, it also signifies the end of the world (again). The conspiracy theorists have been having a field day and state that there’s an asteroid about to hit the earth at the same time as the above, and that the authorities are keeping it from us. Bearing in mind how many people have a telescope, including myself, and that we’d have seen this coming, I think it’s pretty unlikely that we’re all going to die Sunday night/Monday morning. But if we do, it’s been fun knowing you. I like to keep an open mind ;)

I note that there’s a number of end of world scenarios being played out in film and TV series at this time and I guess it’s all just money to the people who write these. If I knew the end was coming I’d simply spend it at home with my son and dog, along with any other family or friends who wanted to join us. I wouldn’t go crazy, or loot, or kill anyone, however I may well give certain people a piece of my mind (if there was time) just because there’d be no repercussions. It may make for an awkward situation mind you, if the end failed to materialise…

Money is the root of all evil. It’s also the cause of many fall outs and misunderstandings. It’s come to my attention that my Mother has written us all out of her will in favour of my niece who lives with my parents. Now, she’s had to put up with a lot, however my Mother always said that she’d see my niece right as in not homeless, and that the rest would be split equally between the 4 children. When she told us this I said it should be 5 way split because we have a step sister; that didn’t go down well. My step-Father doesn’t keep in contact with his own child and I think that’s so weird. The only plus side of this is that at least when she dies we won’t have to clean out what has become a dirty, smelly, old ladies house that will need fumigating before it could be sold. My niece is welcome to it!

My friend also annoys me where money is concerned. On the weekend we both got some groceries, and there was a multi buy offer on some items. I bought them, stated how much he’d owe me, and after I paid, gave him his items. He never paid me back, and not for the first time! Now it’s not a lot of money but it’s the principle and I would never do this to him, or to anyone else. Lesson learned; I won’t make that mistake again. Add to this fact that I always take him home and he never offers any petrol money, and the fact that he has way more disposable income than I do, and it left me feeling a little peeved with him.

After my last blog, which I found quite cathartic by the way, I again turned down work last week because I’d made other plans. This worm has finally turned lol. I did it politely of course; I still need my job for now after all. I spent an enjoyable couple of hours at our other site, had a beer – very surprised to get that! There was ‘street food’ and some live music that wasn’t half bad. I had a wander around the new classrooms, and even had a brief chat with a senior member of staff who I hope will be able to help with my contract. I was expecting to be joined by a colleague but afterwards, when he caught up with me, he said he’d seen me talking to her and didn’t want to join us. Strange… She’s not popular in some circles but I like her. She’s driven, knows what she wants, gets the job done, and is a very smart woman in both senses of the word. She seems to like me too and often has a chat if she sees me, so that’s all right. Mind you, I’ll chat with anyone…

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and have a great week assuming we all make it past Sunday night LOL
