British actor, singer and songwriter Anthony Newley recorded several releases of "What Kind Of Fool Am I" (Anthony Newley - Leslie Bricusse). This is simply one of the many. Anthony sang the song in the musical "Stop The World, I Want To Get Off" and won the 1963 Grammy for Song Of The Year. Anthony was married to Joan Collins for years.
Legendary master showman, Grammy and Emmy winner Sammy Davis Jr. released his version of "What Kind Of Fool Am I" in 1962 and peaked at number seventeen on the Top One Hundred, number six on the Easy Listening chart. Two days after Sammy's death at sixty-four, as a tribute the lights of the Las Vegas Strip were dimmed for ten minutes.
