Geoffrey Turton sang with Britain's Rockin' Berries and The Fortunes during the sixties. As a solo Geoff changed his name to "Jefferson" and was the first to issue "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" (Tony Macaulay - Barry Mason). Geoff found success in North America later with a cover of The Paper Dolls song "Baby Take Me In Your Arms" in 1969.

Session singer Tony Burrows sang lead on "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Grows)" as a member of a studio group. The tune became a hit so the writers found a band called "Greenfield Hammer" to lip sync the song on England's Top of the Pops with Tony as the front man. The single topped the U.K. chart while peaking at number five on Billboard in 1970. Co-author Tony Macaulay produced the session and the group's LP "Already".
