"Xanadu" as sung by songwriter Jeff Lynne. In 2000 it was recorded for the "All Over The World" compilation. The label refers to the band E.L.O. but it was done in studio by Jeff Lynne on vocals, guitars, bass and drums with Marc Mann on keyboards. Other members of The Electric Light Orchestra were not in the session. Jeff was a founder of supergroup The Traveling Wilburys with Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Roy Orbison.
This is title tune from the 1980 movie with Grammy winner Olivia Newton-John who was the star of the film along with legend Gene Kelly. Olivia sang the theme with E.L.O. "Xanadu" peaked at number eight on Billboard's Top One Hundred while topping the U.K. charts and those of many other countries. Wikipedia "Newton-John's father was an MI5 officer on the Enigma project at Bletchley Park who took Rudolf Hess into custody during World War II. After the war he became Headmaster at Cambridgeshire High School for Boys and was in that role when Olivia was born."
