Singer of soul, Charlie Whitehead issued "Love Being The Fool" (Jerry Williams Jr. - Charlie Whitehead) in 1975. This made the Billboard R&B chart. Mr. Williams also recorded using the moniker "Raw Spitt".
Later that year Travis Wammack released "(Shu-doo-pa-poo-poop) Love Being Your Fool" on the LP "Not For Sale". The fun "southern rock" single peaked at thirty-eight. Travis was Little Richard's band leader for more than a decade and is a member of The Memphis Music Hall of Fame. Yes, I like this tune.
