After the visit to the temple and the blessing for the Tirta yatra festival, a group photo of the Balinese extended family came to this festival from far away. Pura Pulaki, Pura Pabean and Pura Melanting are three temples nestled among the rugged mountains and black sands of the North Coast beaches near Pemuteran. As important as they are to Hindu Balinese, each with its own spiritual function, it is the dramatic natural environments that arouse the interest of the outsider.

With explicit permission of the preacher I was allowed to take this picture, which I also send to the friends in Bali. In the foreground, with folded hands on his forehead, Mayang kneels to my acquaintance, who always assisted me at the Tirta Yatra ceremony. At the blessing of the Pemangku priests, the faithful are spattered with holy water. The Pura Ratu Niang Sakti is a temple where the faithful worship the goddess of wealth, fate and fortune and pray for a happy future.
