This winter scene was posted at Liverpool on February 13, 1907 to Miss Evelyn Eldridge, 213 Hale St. ... but the rest of the address and any maker's name is obscured by album page remains.

Published by Miss M. P. Wentzell. Made in Germany. No. D 878 12. Mailed to Mrs. A. W. Hopkins, 37 Holton St., Allston, Mass.: "Shelburne HS., Aug. 10, 1912. I am having a fine time. Go out rowing almost every day. Love to all, Evelyn."

Posted August 10, 1927 at Yarmouth to Mrs Grace Mills Jordan, R. D. 1, Millbury, Mass: "Wed. Aug. 10 You would enjoy a trip through Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. Finest kind of people and wonderful scenery. Augusta L. Smith." Published by H. McKinlay, Yarmouth, N.S.

Third of the cards mailed to Miss Maxine Baumann, this one on July 3, 1911, with her receipt stamp. This one is from Howard V. Cornfield, 48 Duke St. West, St. John, New Brunswcik, Canada. Howard hasn't followed the French postal rules quite as meticulously as Nellie Bowes (see other cards) but he has most of the stamp on the front, at least (perhaps it was done that way so that the Canadian postmaster would see the edge of the stamp on the other side and not think the card was unstamped.) The words "POST CARD" have been taped over on the back and a French ink stamp records the card's receipt on July 11, 1911 with a reply on July 30, 1911. There is also a serial number stamped on the back.

Posted September 1, 1908 at Yarmouth to Miss Cargill, Summer St., Franklin, Mass.: "Monday. Been deep sea fishing today - got 19 cod - some weighing 8 lbs. Mabel was a little sick - Beautiful weather and 15 in the house - fine party - am burned to a blister. "Billy Buster" sleeps with Mabel & I - looking for yours tomorrow." One of the three cards addressed to Maxinen Baumann, Les Saules, Gagny (S & O) France. This one is from N. Bowes, Halifax. It has the stamped receipt on the back (no. 23,478) with the (apparently required) notations "Printed Matter" and "Over" (in the stamp box) written by the sender. Valentine & Sons, no. 107,106.

First of three cards mailed to Maxine Baumann, Les Saules, Gagny (S & O) France that seem to illustrate how cards were supposed to be sent to France (with stamp on front, and the words POST CARD replaced with the notation "Printed Matter" (and "over" written on the stamp box). This card bears Miss Baumann's ink receipt stamp, including the number 21674. See separate image of the back. Valentine & Sons no. 102,289.

Valentine & Sons no. 111,313, with a letter across the entire back, apparently page 5 of a longer letter, reading "This is the main street, the post office, Y.M.C.A. building, most of the Churches and the College are on this treat. This part of the town is known as down town. It is about a quarter of a mile from the stores on Inglis St. The square is also on this street. I guess you must of been glad to get out Sunday. Lester is getting good pay, if he keeps it up, he ..."

Valentine & Sons no. 101,873, posted at Londonderry, (N.S.), August 12, 1910 to Mrs. E. E. Bacon, 30 Walnut St., Medford, Mass., with a short letter from M. E. Spencer.

Posted July 11, 1904 at Winnipeg to Miss E. J. Sherwin, Llanpayst, Marrickville Bright Street, Sydney N.S.W. Australia, with a great message: "Dear Evie, You will see we are still in Canada but leave for home very soon now. The summers here are very pleasant + remind me of our Australian climate. It is nice to see bright sunshine every morning after the gloom + wet of Ireland. Winnipeg is a fine growing City of 70,000 inhabitants + then people we have met are hospitable + kind, but of course as Florie + Percy are not remaining here we shall likely never see any of them again, but one never knows. Marnie had Florrie's letter this morning. We are sorry to hear of poor old Aunt. Glad you are all well. Yours ever. I. Cockerill [???]" It appears to be dated June 11th, Wellington Crescent but I'm not sure. This image also appears, cropped slightly but also as an oval, in Illustrated Souvenir of Winnipeg (the smaller view book that is probably by Martel".
