I have not had a chance to do any writing since I came here. We have to work like the d--- all the time and when I get through I go right to the feathers. Ernie."

A J. H. Clarke card, unused with the ink stamp of D. F. de Tremaudan, Manor, N.W.T., Canada on the reverse. The cancel is "Manor, Assa.", a late use as it is October 1905, a month after the creation of the Province of Saskatchewan.

This is by Rumsey & Co, in their Canadian West Series, No. 2 (30 subjects).
I've seen a copy of an RPPC of this exact image and the coal mine is identified there as the Galt Coal Mine No. 3 at Lethbridge, Alta.

C. S. Co. card no. 110, unrecorded by Souch. Part of a multi-card letter across the whole back:
"...fashions in advance of us. Yesterday we went to Baptist Church in morning, and the train moved on during dinner to a small town called Sutherland. We got out and Dr. Coward, Emily and I went to a tiny Methodist church. Good preacher. After service we just got on train again when it started back to Saskatoon. It was a lovely night. Northern lights splendid and moonlight went..."

Posted at the Sault, September 25, 1905 to Miss Pearl Menzies, 130 Jameson Avenue, Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, with the message: "My address is still "Soo" Ontario. Thought perhaps you had forgotten it. Maud." Credit to G. N. Bartlett is hard to see but is in the water at lower right.

Ritchie, Grange Street, Annapolis Royal, N.S. is the addressee of this card, posted on November 14, 1913 at Halifax: "Nov. 14th, 1913 Dear Friend, Just a few lines to let you know I rec'd your card + glad to hear you are well as I am. We are having more rain again to-night. I think we are having more than our share. Had a letter from Clara the other day. As Ever I remain M. S. G."
