François got a helium balloon at the beer festival, and as we had each just drunk a litre and a half of beer, of course we did this after we left there. This time in French. Liège

Tchantchès is a character from the folklore of Liège represented by a puppet. He appears in puppet theatre, street festivals, in comic strips and a monument. In this case he's in a plaster cast in a wheelchair, inside the museum in Liège, where the beer festival was held

The Pom is an apple beer (not a lambic) brewed by Brasserie Grain d'Orge. It was not overly sweet and more like a beer than a cider, compared to the lambic apple beer, which is almost cidery.

I bought some chips and they came in this paper cone. It is a fake newspaper and I was amused by the fake English as well! Liège

The festival was held in the Musée de la Vie wallonne (Museum of Walloon Life) in Liège. The building is an old Franciscan monastery, and the festival was held in and around the inner courtyard. There was a marquee for the DJ but it was too hot inside it, and nobody was dancing.

In the centre there was a stand demonstrating how beer is made. There was also this chart explaining the whole process. Liège

This was my first beer at the festival, La Myrtille Peak from Belgium Peak Beer. From their website "With its brewery located at the highest point of Belgium - close to the signal of Botrange and the Baraque Michel - Belgium Peak Beer offers a range of beers with flavors of the region and brewed in the water of the Hautes Fagnes in a unique environment and a breathtaking decor." It is a fruit beer that is not lambic. It was quite tasty. That's my souvenir glass being filled. No throwaway cups or glasses at this festival, and you get to keep your glass at the end,

Had La Botteresse Miel, a honey beer, but it was not my favourite. Not much of a honey taste. But in all fairness I did not try their other beers. Liège

Annual beer festival at the Musée de la Vie wallonne in Liège. I saw the website and first thought it was "Citadel a Bière". It cost €6 entry and that included a reusable 150cl souvenir glass. Then you buy tokens (€15 for 10) and buy beer at the different stands. The server washes your glass before filling it.
