Cathedral(centre) and carillon by Oscar Niemeyer whose architecture is breathtaking in design, and fascinating in execution, I am truly amazed by him…and his design for this whole city in the shape of an airliner, with its key administrative buildings along the axis and wings is a marvel to explore.

Kolkata...or Calcutta. I love this city. I have been here three times. It is warm, seething, welcoming, and cheerfully anarchic. I love wandering the streets...it has such a rich history, and Bengalis are fabulous. Always ready to chat, help, advise.. It also has a million photogenic moments...
