Taken along the track to the Hogarth Falls in western Tasmania. Despite appearances, the water in the creek is fresh and clean, that brown colouring comes from tannins leaching from the sap of the trees in the forest.

Just outside the little town of Strahan in western Tasmania is a very pleasant park, where a walk through cool temperate rainforest leads to these falls . I think best viewed on black. I'm having trouble keeping up with all the comments, so I'm going back to one image per day for a while. :)
