For those unfamiliar with cattle grids, they consist of a concrete boxed trench across the road, typically about 1 metre wide. Parallel steel bars about 100mm apart are across the trench. The structure works as a gate for livestock while allowing wheeled vehicles to cross. The concrete sometimes has a sharp lip which could damage tyes if not approached carefully (as here in the centre). Maybe view large to see detail. Not many fence photos from my outback trip - lots of country between fences! This was taken on the approach to a fence with a cattle grid, which needs just a little care when driving. Wishing everyone a Happy Fence Friday and a pleasant weekend to follow.
